We oredered four (4) Strathwood Basics Hardwood Chaise Lounge chairs with accompanying cushions. While the chairs are great (very easy to assemble), the cushions were a train wreck! Here in Wisconsin, we have no shortage of rain. After the first good rain that we had them outside, the cushion material so filled up with water that we could hardly move them. I question what would have happended if we let them remain fastened to the chairs (big-time rottinmg, I suspect) ... I needed a wheel barrel to move them from our pier to the deck where we hung them in our feeble attempt to dry them out! After we dried them sufficiently (we thought), we moved them into the garage to get them boxed (Amazon won't pay for the packaging of return goods, but they do a great job working the UPS protion of the process). Well, the cushions were still damp, so we hung them in the garage for another four (4) days, with water puddling under them. We finally concluded they would never fully dry, so we boxed them up and the UPS guy picked up the last box today. We went out to a local patio furniture supplier and got cushions that, although not constructed of waterproof material on the outside, had waterproof material around the cushion on the inside. We love our new cushions, but would not recommend anyone purchase the one's from Strathwood unless you plan to have them in a protected area ...
