Easy to assemble: slide the 4-way over the factory vertical wedge and place the ~1" diameter pin in the hole. Then wrap the cable keeper around the ram and clip. The 1" pin has a "push-in ball" along one side that is designed to keep the pin from sliding out. I am skeptical of this design but it is working fine so far. One other issue that has arisen from this installation is that the log stripper is not wide enough now. When a log is being pulled back towards the head of the ram, logs go wide of the stripper and aren't stripped of the wedge. So I'll weld on some more steel to make the stripper wider as should have been done at the factory. A better design in this regard is the Northern Tools 30- and 37-ton log splitter strippers.
