MTD Lawn Mower Part # KH-20-098-05-S STARTER ASM Review

Was compatible on my Cub Cadet LT1042 with Kohler command 19HP engine. Had to disconnect battery, remove old one, then carefully place this one in. Note that the tab that sticks up has to go towards the engine block. Save all the hardware from the previous one during de-install as you may need to reuse some of it.

Note - I tried refurbishing the old one and it lasted a few weeks, it wasn't worth the trouble. I can't find a brush kit for the old one, it's not worth the trouble - just buy a new one and store the mower out of the elements and it will last.
