My new GE Cafe dishwasher would not clean my dishes. Since the other appliances in the GE Cafe line were so highly rated and are wonderful to use, I was severely disappointed with the performance of this expensive dishwasher. That said, I was ready to remove it and buy another type of washer, when I tried these filters. Like magic, my dishwasher now cleans my dishes with every wash. I know as soon as it starts to do a questionable job cleaning, I need to change the filter. BTW - My local municipal water is hard; however, the town does not consider it excessively hard.
