This is a decent machine. I was hesitant to purchase this brand based on some of the poor reviews. But I live in a small town with limited choices so I took a gamble on it. Right out of the box, it was really very difficult to start. I took nearly 20 frustrating minutes to get it running and even then it had to be half choked to keep it on. However, after the first 30 minutes of use I was finally able to put it in the "run" mode and it has worked great the few times I've run it since. They are titleing this machine as easy start. It takes a little finessing to get it started so its deffinatly not what I'd consider easy. But after getting familiar with it a bit, I also don't find it any more difficult than other machines I've burned thru over the years. Every trimmer I've owned has had its little "tricks" to starting. I do like the new system for feeding line. The whole bump-feed thing never really works that well for me. This one has a quick,easy feed so you can get right back at the cutting. My last one had a curved handle so getting use to the difference in the angle of attack took a little adjustment. Ive only had it a short couple weeks so I'll have to see how it runs over the long haul. The last one I had,(weedeater wild thing)I used for ten years without so much as a spark plug change. So far, I'm pretty happy with the poulan. I'm rather rough on my yard tools so we'll just have to see how it holds up.It does have plenty of power. I run it thru some pretty tough stuff including berry bramble with no issues at all.
