I have two different sizes of the Music of the Spheres Chimes. I got one for my grandma for Christmas and she loves it. They're much different than your basic chimes you get at the usual places like walgreens or home depot. These are very high quality. I've had one for over 5yrs now and the powder coated finish on the tubes are still intact, the striker is some kind of composite and still looks new. My favorite thing is that I've never found a tube laying on the ground after the string frays. The strings are tied to a small bar that is inside the tube, so theres no rubbing and fraying of the string by the edge of the tube. They really are "tuned" to emit a well balanced tone. You can hear and even feel the resonance when the tubes are struck. I can hear the resonance for about 30 seconds after a strike. The diamond wind catcher can also be removed if a storm comes up, but I never had to. They definitely cost more than the the average chimes, but I've never had to fix or replace mine after 5yrs and they have a classic look that seems to also endure.
