I have had other UV filters in the past. This one is by far the most cost effective and clears up my 1000 gal koi pond the quickest. I live in CT and the weather changes every 15 minutes in New England. It only took 1 week to clear up my pond when I started it up. It even comes with extra bulbs. You need to have it hooked up to a pump that pushes the water through. It can not be gravity fed. I have it in line with my bio falls and a 3500 pump. I would highly recommend this product.
