I have used PoolRX unit in my skimmer for over 5 years. For anyone looking for greener, safer and easier and cheaper alternative to chlorine, try this - won't cost much to give it a try.
I have a gunite 15,000 gal. in-ground pool with sand filter and a solar heater. I have tried Baquacil and Sildate to avoid having to mess with chlorine and the maintenance, water testing, environmental and personal risks which go with it. Furthermore, I didn't need an expensive installation and investment of a complicated system requiring maintenance to try it out.
My pool water stays crystal clear with PoolRX, non-chlorine shock and occasional addition of tri-chlor tabs in a floater. If I neglect cleaning the pool regularly, I might also have to use some clarifier/flocculant. The PH stays stable, all chemical balances are always perfect (w/no measurable chlorine), pool smells fresh, won't sting eyes, damage hair, destroy swimming suits or kill my lawn if I need to back-wash. What more could you want?
I put the PoolRX in the skimmer basket. I suspended it with a string under water to keep the skimmer clear. That's all there is to it.
Most springs I start with a disgustingly dirty water looking like mud (I don't add chemicals for winter). Few days of vaccuuming and running the filter with PoolRX in skimmer it becomes crystal clear and stays that way as long as I keep up with weekly vaccuum/brushing and non-chlorine shock. If I slack, a floater with tri-chlor and/or flocculant will help fix it up in a few days.

CRC Rubber-Base Pool Paint White 1 gal. Review

My pool has a concrete border in the inside and outside of the walking area in a cream color that was mixed with a tiny white gravel. It was not a very nice even color, so I painted all that border with this product. It looks very nice and last long. The only thing that you have to pay attention to, is that on a very shiny or slippery surfaces it doesn't grab or hold very well. Of course that you will have to re-do once in a while because water, humidity and the sun will affect it sooner or later. I buy one can every year and all my pool border looks very nice and clean.

Trio Pond Filter Review

The three level was supposed to be their largest for a pond < 2,000 gal. That may be so, but prepare to clean often.
I have a 800 gal. pond with ~ thirty med. goldfish that had green and cloudy water. After achieving clear water via algae control and pond bacteria and this filter, the three level, two stage filter design is effective for fish waste, dead algae and sludge, when mated to a recirculation pump that will exchange the pond water volume within two to four hours. I placed the filter at one end of the pond and the pump with aerated fountain discharge at the other end. The filter media had to be cleaned every few days until water became clear. Once water became clear, the filter has to be cleaned every ten to fourteen days. I would not recommend a one or two level for any pond more than 250 gal.
The filter is well designed for easy disassembly. Cleaning the media of the sludge is messy but not difficult.
I established a method for fast effective cleaning using a minimum amount of hose water and using the sludge in my composter. Happy to share method of cleaning by request to RLane@cox.net or cell 504.481.9735

Hard for me to rate this stuff.
The mice do seem to eat it and we don't see evidence of any more droppings.

But what is with the $120.00? The seller should indicate what quantity is involved in this offer.

One of our 60lb dogs actually consumed a complete tray of this stuff.....like it was breath mints.
We rushed him to the vet who gave him Vitamin K. for 2 weeks. No internal bleeding or side effects from the ingestion.
Maybe this stuff isn't all that strong?...thankfully.
