Holiday Avocado Tree--Will Arrive Between 3 and 4 Feet Tall Review

I ordered two avocado trees from Clifton Nursery. When they came, one looked like it was in shock but I think I have revived it as its getting new growth. The other one looked like it was dying but I still tried to revive it. The tips of the leaves arrived turning black and every new little nub of new growth turned black as soon as it popped out. I waited a week then called Cliftons Nursery and spoke to a fellow named John who was very unfriendly. He gave me every excuse in the book as to why the tree was doing that, then said call him back in two weeks and it'll probably be fine. Well, all the leaves have died and some of the branches have turned black and are dead. Yes, I'm going to call him back. It'll be interesting to see what he says again. The tree was a lot of money and the shipping was also. I think I should get a refund for both

Alpine Girl and Boy Sitting on Bench with Puppy Garden Statue Review

Purchased as a memorial at the grave site of my Son's dog. The statue is perfect as it resembles my son, Kipps the dog and my daughter.

When it arrived I noted it was a lot lighter in weight than expected. The note in the box from the manufacturer says it can't be froze. This means I can't leave it at the grave site in the winter as I live in Phila., where it's cold, and snows, and freezes. Ahem...Kipps is buried outside.

The note from the manufacturer also says we can expect the coloring to fade. But, they leave us hope that we can always recolor it. Oh, goodie.

So, although it's darling, I can't use it as the memorial I'd hoped to...until the Spring when I can bring it back outside.

The bottom line is this is darling if it works for you to keep it inside.

Nexgrill 32-Inch Rotisserie Kit Review

I bought this rotisserie kit in good faith but found that the bracket that attaches to the grill is made wrong. The lid of the grill will not close as it should. I called Nexgrill and they confirmed I bought the correct kit but had no cure for the problem. Makes one wonder!

Set of 2 Black Zero Gravity Chair Folding Recliner Patio Pool Lounge Chair Outdoor Review

Great folding recliner for the campsit or even just hanging out on the back porch. Keep in mind the knobs for locking the position when you have to get up out of this chair. Takes a little getting used to. Does not have all the bells and whistles of the better known brand name, but still very nice. The head rest pillow is retained on the back by an elastic band. Over a little time this band stretches out and lets the pillow slide down the chair to become a lumbar support. Great if you need a lumbar support! Not so great if you need a headrest. I suggest you add some velcro tabs to the head rest to keep it where you want it.

Strathwood Basics Soft Comb Quilted Fabric Hammock, Beige / White Review

We were excited to recieve this and it looked like a wonderful quality hammock. The fabric is soft and quilted, a nice neutral color. The bed of the hammock is made up of 2 inch strips of this fabric interwoven. It is not a solid piece of quilted fabric like a bed spread. This was a surprise, but I thought it might be good as it would allow for a little air movement through the bed. The included chains are very heavy. No "S" hooks were at the end of the chains, so you need to get those somewhere else to actually hang the hammock on a stand. The problem hit when we actually tried to use the the hammock. Almost as soon as you recline, the woven straps start to separate. With even slight swinging of the hammock, this process continues until a gap has opened up large enough for the would-be relaxing person's rear end to hang out completely. We tried different people of different sizes and always the same result. You end up with large parts of you sticking thorugh within 15 minutes. We are returning the hammock and going for the solid fabric version.

Zareba EAC10M-Z 10-Mile AC Low Impedance Charger Review

I got a couple little shocks and thought how can this possibly work. So I put one hand in the garden soil and slowly touched the wire. BAM...felt like someone hit me across the chest with a 2X4. I received no physical injuries. But I am physiologically scared for life. I will never touch that wire again! Now I own two Zareba's. One for my upper garden and one for the lower garden. Keeps deer out. I ring the wire low for small animals, and higher for the deer. Then I add danglers, like tentacles to catch the deer noses while they are shopping my produce section. The only thing, you can't let the electric wire touch plants. It will kill them. So leave plenty of room, or make the wire movable like my tentacles. They all said I was MAD for for trying to have a garden in my area. Now see who is laughing! Muahahaha (evil laugh)
