I got a couple little shocks and thought how can this possibly work. So I put one hand in the garden soil and slowly touched the wire. BAM...felt like someone hit me across the chest with a 2X4. I received no physical injuries. But I am physiologically scared for life. I will never touch that wire again! Now I own two Zareba's. One for my upper garden and one for the lower garden. Keeps deer out. I ring the wire low for small animals, and higher for the deer. Then I add danglers, like tentacles to catch the deer noses while they are shopping my produce section. The only thing, you can't let the electric wire touch plants. It will kill them. So leave plenty of room, or make the wire movable like my tentacles. They all said I was MAD for for trying to have a garden in my area. Now see who is laughing! Muahahaha (evil laugh)
