The radiant heat tube gently warms the inside of the incubator, the air and eggs. Thermal action of the heated air flowing out the exhaust vents in the top of the incubator, draws fresh air in through the bottom vent. This thermal air flow also assists the drying of the chicks after they hatch. The "TURBOFAN" CIRCULATED AIR FLOW HOVA-BATOR incubator is designed to hold a more uniform temperature. Dimensions 18" x 18" x 9 1 /2", 110 Volt AC. 25 Watt Heat Element (220 Volt available for export). All Hova-Bator incubators include a sanitary plastic liner (item No. 1765). Without an automatic turner in place, the incubator will hold 50 duck or chicken eggs or 130 quail eggs.

I have had this product for almost 2 years and i love it. i had a 100% hatch rate my first time, i'm currently using it again and still works wonderfully.

it is approximately 18 1/2 in. by 9 1/2 in. by 18 1/2 in. in size when fully set up.

Humidity- it comes with a plastic liner and has three troughs of where to fill it up with water. the more troughs you fill increases the humidity. the incubator has two 5/8inch diameter vent holes on the top, along with plugs for them, to help with controlling humidity. if you feel that there is too much humidity, you just remove one or both plugs from holes till humidity goes down to a desired percentage. you need to refill the trough(s) every three to four days though, i recommend filling it up with warm water so it doesn't affect the temperature as much as room temperature water.

Temperature- it is controlled by a knob, turn clockwise for decreasing temperature or anti-clockwise to raise it. of course the temperature around the incubator does effect the temperature in the incubator. the instructions recommend to keep it in a room whose temperature stays within a 10F temperature change for best results, ex. 70F-80F. Where i live the temperature variation exceeds that range and yet the incubator needs little to no tweaking for it to maintain desired temperature.

Wire floor- goes directly on top of the plastic liner, comes with owl clips to attach the two together. the egg turner is able to be set on top of it while still allowing acess to troughs, for when you need to refill the troughs.

for turning the eggs though, i would recommend getting an egg turner. opening the incubator to turn the eggs constantly did effect temperature and humidity, only momentarily though. when closed the incubator quickly returned to the desired temperature and humidity.

All in all this product is worth the price, in my opinion.
