When wet, the rubber reinforce surface allows water to be wicked to the bottom of the mat away from foot traffic while providing a slip resistant surface. The rug I received had pet hair embeded in the top of it & the backing was cracked & rotted in places.
If this is a new rug, save your money!
Waiting for UPS to pick it up as I am not going to haul this large box down the mountain to the office myself.
Now I need to shop all over again to find a strong rug for our mountain home doorway this winter. It will NOT be from Amazon though! What a major dissappointment & a PITA!
